How to improve your eyesight?
Myopia is related to weak eye sight were in close objects appear clearly, but distant objects appear blurry. Your body is what you eat and so what you eat affects your body. Healthy food makes you healthier, whereas junk food makes you sick. When your eye sight becomes weak, your eyeball becomes too long which prevents light from focusing directly on the retina. The most common symptoms of weak eyesight are blurry vision, frequent headaches and watery eyes. As it is said, prevention is always better than cure, it’s better to start doing little things which can help you in the long run.
3 things you must do to improve your eyesight
Fennel seeds contain nutrients and antioxidants, which are healthy for our eyes. They slow down the progression of cataracts thereby keeping your eyes healthy. A simple method to include fennel: Add fennel, sugar candy and almonds and mix it in a blender. Make into a fine powder. Eat 1 tablespoon of this powder before going to bed with warm milk. Continue doing this for more than 30 days.
- Eye exercises
Eye exercises help your eye muscle relax and brings the blood flow to the eyes to regularize the optimal vision. It also makes your eye muscle flexible, thereby improving the focus and concentration. Regular exercises also relieve your eyes by combating eye strain.
You can try out following eye exercises:
- Roll your eyes in the clockwise direction for a few seconds, and then roll them counter-clockwise for a few seconds. Repeat four or five times, blinking your eyes in between each set.
- Hold a pencil at an arm’s length and focus on it. Slowly bring it closer to your nose and then move it farther from your vision until you can no longer keep it in focus. Repeat about 10 times a day.
- Try eyelid fluttering by blinking your eyes 20 to 30 times rapidly and repeatedly, without squeezing your eyes shut. Finally, close your eyes and let them rest. You can also try palming, which is described below. Do this twice daily.
- Concentrate your vision on a distant object for a while. The best way to do this without straining your eyes is to look at the moon and focus on it for three to five minutes daily. - Healthy Diet
Healthy diet consists of food with proper nutrients. Foods rich in vitamins A, B-complex, C, D and E, beta-carotene, amino acids, lutein and zeaxanthin promote eye health. The chlorophyll in green leafy vegetables also helps improve eyesight. Thus eat properly and maintain your body well.
